Steel barns and shops for Douglas and Eagle Country

Douglas is a small town on the southern end of Marshall County where two state routes cross.  Most of the building talk here is about barns, sheds and shops.

A small town at a state route crossing

Douglas sits where State Routes 75 and 168 meet, about 9 miles southwest of Albertville and about 11 miles west of Boaz.  It lies on Sand Mountain at roughly 940 feet, and its Eagle Country water tower is easy to spot.[2]

The town is small, so the land around it matters most.  Many properties here are open acreage and homesteads, which tend to call for pole barns, equipment sheds and shops.  If you are planning one, size depends on what you need to store or work on.[2]

Douglas questions, plain and simple

General information.  Every project is different, so call us about yours.

What size pole barn works for a homestead on the ridge?

It depends on what you will keep inside, such as a tractor, a truck, hay or a workshop.  We can talk through uses and help scale a pole barn to your budget.[2]

Do you build a shop with a living area for a small town lot?

A barndominium can place a shop and living space together.  Utilities and site work will shape what is practical on your lot.[2]

Does the town of Douglas handle permits, or the county?

Douglas is an incorporated town in Marshall County, so ask the town hall and the county about the steps for your property.  It is a good first call before you finalize anything.[2]
