Hanceville questions

General information.  Every project is different, so call us about yours.

Can a small business near the college use a steel building?

Steel commercial buildings are used for shops, offices, storage and service businesses.  RBC designs and builds them, with workmanship warranties on commercial turnkey construction.  Your needs and any town requirements will shape the design.[2]

Does RBC build barns for properties on the edge of Hanceville?

Many properties on the edge of a town have room for a pole barn, equipment shed or horse barn.  Pole barns can be scaled to your budget.  It depends on your acreage and project.[2]

I want to build horse stalls on a small pasture.  Where do I start?

RBC designs equestrian buildings, from small run-in barns to larger stall barns.  Think about how many horses you keep and how you move around the property.[2]

Should I contact the city before I build?

It is a good general step to check with the town or county building office early.  They can explain what applies to your parcel.[2]

A town shaped by a college and a monastery

Hanceville was established in 1832 and incorporated in May 1879.  Its boundaries moved around early on: it started in Blount County, was split between Blount and Cullman counties in 1877, and was placed fully in Cullman County in 1901.[2]

Wallace State Community College opened in 1966 and has about 6,000 students, and the Our Lady of the Angels Monastery was built from 1996 to 1999 under Mother Angelica.  Visitors, students and staff all bring traffic and business to town.  If you are planning a shop, storage building or small commercial space, steel is a practical option to review.[2]
