Capshaw Mountain community
Storm-conscious steel buildings for Harvest and the Sparkman school area
Harvest is an unincorporated community in northwest Madison County, built around schools, subdivisions and the slopes of Capshaw Mountain. The building questions here are often about durable family outbuildings.

A rail line that became a community
Harvest is a census-designated place, not an incorporated town, with 5,893 residents in the 2020 Census. Development picked up after the railroad arrived from Tennessee, and the area covers about 12.4 square miles in northwestern Madison County.[2]
Capshaw Mountain, at 1,250 feet, is the main geographic feature, and it is the watershed for the community's water supply. Homes here range from small lots to larger tracts, so a garage, workshop or barndominium may fit depending on the property.[2]

Because tornadoes have crossed this area, how should I think about a new building?

Could a metal roof be a good upgrade for my home?
Metal roofing is a long-lasting option for many homes, and the color visualizer helps you choose a look. It depends on your roof and your budget.[2]
Do you build on land with a hillside, like near Capshaw Mountain?
Slopes call for careful site work, and we would want to hear about your grade and access. Describe your lot and we will talk it over.[2]
