Steel buildings for fast-changing Rainsville

Rainsville is a city on top of Sand Mountain, and its population has grown many times over since it incorporated.

A mountaintop town that kept growing

Rainsville incorporated in October 1956 and first appeared in the 1960 Census with 568 people.  It grew to 2,099 by 1970, 4,948 by 2010 and 5,505 by 2020.[2]

The city covers 20.71 square miles at an elevation of 1,296 feet on Sand Mountain, so growth has meant homes and businesses spreading across open land.  If you are planning a shop, a home or a commercial space, a steel building gives you room to design for the use.  A first conversation can help narrow what suits your lot.[2]

Rainsville questions

General information.  Every project is different, so call us about yours.

Is Rainsville a good place for a commercial steel building?

A town that has grown this much usually has room for shops, storage and service businesses.  RBC designs and builds commercial buildings, with workmanship warranties on commercial turnkey construction.[2]

Can I build a home and shop on a newer lot in town?

Many people pair a house with a separate shop or choose a barndominium that combines both.  It depends on the lot and your plans.[2]

Residential metal buildings

Do farm buildings fit near Rainsville?

Outside town, land is still used for farming, and DeKalb County leads in poultry and egg sales.  Pole barns, equipment sheds and chicken houses are common needs.[3]
